Wolf Theiss Law Firm Moves Into Liget Center Classic in Budapest

International law firm Wolf Theiss has moved into the Liget Center Classic in Budapest, a protected historical building redeveloped by Wing.

Wolf Theiss has agreed to lease almost 1,300 square meters of space in the Liget Center Classic to provide a modern working environment for its 85 employees. With this transaction, Wing reports, the occupancy rate of the building has reached 100%.

Wing describes the Liget Center — formerly the headquarters of MEMOSZ (Magyar Epítoipari Munkasok Orszagos Szovetsege, or the National Association of Hungarian Construction Workers) — as “one of Budapest’s iconic modernist buildings.” Wing completely renovated the complex in 2024, with a special focus on energy efficiency. According to Wing, the development project was designed to create “a modern, sustainable office project to meet 21st century demands,” while still preserving historical values. The complex is located in Budapest’s District VI, at the junction of Dozsa Gyorgy ut and Varosligeti fasor, right next to the City Park, opposite the Museum of Ethnography.

“We were looking for offices weaved seamlessly into the fabric of the city, iconic in its own right, while also offering a professional and unique location,” said Zoltan Faludi, Managing Partner of Wolf Theiss. “After extensive consideration, we decided to go with Liget Center Classic, a worthy and representative choice not only for our firm but also for our clientele.”

“Welcoming Wolf Theiss further confirms that Liget Center is one of the most distinctive properties in the premium office segment in Budapest,” said Gabor Angel, Deputy CEO for Office and Residential Development at Wing. “The signing of the lease contract is also a key milestone for us as the occupancy rate of the Classic building has now reached 100%. As a result, RTL Hungary will be followed by another prestigious international company to establish its headquarters here next year. The Liget Center office complex is not just a workspace; it is also a way of life: a sustainable approach, outstanding technical standards, historic heritage, green environment and the combination of cultural, sports and leisure facilities in the immediate vicinity give prestige and a unique character that go beyond traditional office functions.”

Wolf Theiss was represented by Cushman & Wakefield during the lease process. Tamara Szanto MRICS, Partner, Head of Office Agency at Cushman & Wakefield Budapest, noted that: “we are especially delighted that Wolf Theiss, with the assistance of Cushman & Wakefield, has chosen Liget Center as the location for their new office. We are proud to have been part of this important step, not only by supporting them in finding the ideal office space, but also by continuing to assist them through our project management services. It is a privilege to contribute to a move that will support the growth and long-term goals of the Wolf Theiss Law Firm in the future.”
