New and Renovated Stores at Domina Shopping in Riga

The active development phase of the Domina Shopping center in Riga has resulted in the opening of ten new and renovated stores this year, representing a total investment by both the shopping center and its tenants of close to half a million euros.

Domina Shopping, which is owned and managed by SIA EfTEN Domina, is one of the largest shopping centers in Riga, with over 175 retail outlets, and hosts the largest entertainment center in the Baltics, Apollo Skypark.

Special attention has been given to expanding the Domina Shopping sporting goods, footwear, modern-technology, and services segments. Latvia’s largest sports retail chain, Sportland, expanded its space in the shopping center by 15% earlier this year, reaching a total area of 1,500 square meters, and allowing Sportland to offer a broader selection of activewear, footwear, and accessory brands, including customer favorites like North Face, Helly Hansen, Nike, New Balance, Adidas, Timberland, Salomon, Under Armour, and others.

Latvia’s largest electronics retail chain, RD Electronics, joined the Domina Shopping tenant lineup this year as well. It offers customers a wide range of quality and popular technology brands, including LG, Samsung, Sony, Apple, Philips, Xiaomi, Asus, Electrolux, Bosch, and Whirlpool.

The shopping center’s range of services has also expanded, attracting four entirely new tenants. Tour operator JoinUp! has opened a unique concept travel store for the first time in Latvia and the Baltics, in which where customers can receive vacation consultations and book dream trips. A new store for car enthusiasts, Autoduals, and a self-service laundromat, Laundromat, have also opened their doors, along with the installation of an innovative parcel locker, Udrop.

A new niche fragrance stand, Brandberry, has opened a store in Domina Shopping as well. Latvian clothing brand Black Swan and lingerie store Esotiq have changed their locations in the the shopping center and expanded their product ranges. Meanwhile, popular footwear store CCC has renovated its store as well, adapting a modernized design.

“The opening of new stores or the transformation of existing ones to match new and modern concepts is an integral part of the shopping-center industry,” said Dina Bunce, Director of Domina Shopping. “Just as fashion trends change, so do the needs of our visitors and tenants, to which we strive to adapt as flexibly as possible. And I must say, this approach has delivered rewarding results – currently, 98% of retail space in Domina Shopping is leased, we rank 5th among Latvia’s most valuable real-estate assets in the new top101.lv list, and in this year’s Baltic Brand survey, we are the third most beloved shopping-center brand in Latvia. We will continue to develop Domina Shopping as a top choice for Riga residents and visitors, providing not only essential shopping but also an engaging space for entertainment and specially organized events.”
