Lightware Moves Headquarters to HOP Technology Office Park

Lightware Zrt., a principal player in the audiovisual-technology market, has moved into its new 7000-square-meter headquarters in Building 7 of the the HOP Technology Office Park.

HOP is located on Hungaria korut, close to Budapest’s City Park. Lightware agreed to lease the space in 2023, and moved into its new headquarters in several phases, as developer Wing Zrt completed renovations to its specifications. The manufacturing and logistics functions were developed in the new building last year, while the office space and product development center reached completion this year.

According to Wing, “as an alternative to pulling up a new building, [the company] converted a 50+ year old property into an office building that is also able to serve technology requirements, thereby significantly reducing carbon emissions. By modernizing the building according to ESG principles, [Wing] was able to reduce both material use and the ecological footprint by preserving and renovating existing structures. It has upgraded the building’s mechanical systems and windows to increase energy efficiency, and plans to install a solar farm on the roof, further strengthening its sustainability efforts.”

“Lightware Zrt.’s arrival to the Office Park also confirms the success of the unique concept of the HOP Technology Office Park: the park is currently operating with a 98% occupancy rate, which is a strong market feedback,” said Gabor Angel, Deputy CEO of Wing Zrt. responsible for offices. “Therefore, Wing plans to develop an additional 40,000 square metres in several phases to provide an advanced and sustainable working environment for even more companies operating in innovative technology industries.”

“We are particularly pleased that our new headquarters are based in the HOP Technology Office Park, which provides a modern and inspiring working environment,” said Lightware COO Lorand Gal. “Importantly for our company, the Office Park is the result of an adaptive reuse, i.e., giving new functionality to the existing industrial building – a sustainable approach that well suited to our values. The new headquarters will provide optimal space for our development, manufacturing, and logistics activities, allowing for the easy receipt of raw materials and the efficient delivery of finished products. In more than 25 years, we have grown from a small business to a global industry leader, and now with a presence on four continents, we were looking for a location that would not only support our growth, but also meet our long-term needs. We are confident that this innovative and sustainable complex will make a significant contribution to our continued success, while enabling us to serve our partners around the world efficiently and quickly.”

Eston International represented Wing during the rental process.
