Zucchetti Acquires Developer of “Easybooking” Hotel Software

Italy’s Zucchetti has acquired 100% of Austria’s Zadego, which develops and markets the “Easybooking” hotel software.

The deal includes both Zadego, which is based in Innsbruck, Austria, and its German subsidiary, Zadego Deutschland. Zuchetti describes Easybooking as an “all-in-one” solution — PMS, channel manager, and booking engine — which boasts over 6,000 customers of accommodation facilities in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

“Joining a leading group in Information Technology such as Zucchetti will allow us to accelerate our growth in the DACH region,” declared Zadego Managers Thomas Winkler and Ulli Beckmann, in a joint statement promulgated by Zuchetti, “both by supporting our investments in technological innovation for the continuous development of Easybooking, and by allowing us to offer our customers additional digital solutions and services provided by Zucchetti for the hotel world.”

“We are proud to have supported Zadego in its growth journey and to have contributed to this successful exit to Zucchetti,” stated Vladimir Diring, Portfolio Manager at Zadego investor Creathor Ventures. “This acquisition marks a strong strategic fit, ensuring continued innovation and expansion for Zadego in partnership with a renowned industry player. We thank the Carlsquare team for their invaluable experience in the software space and their advice throughout the process, ensuring a seamless and successful transaction. Their expertise and strategic guidance were instrumental in the successful sale to Zucchetti.”

“At Zucchetti, we don’t acquire companies — we forge long-term partnerships that accelerate growth and technological excellence,” added Dirk Schwindling, EVP Zucchetti Worldwide Business Operations. “Zadego has built an outstanding reputation with Easybooking, empowering thousands of hoteliers with efficiency and automation. By integrating their expertise into the Zucchetti ecosystem, we are setting new benchmarks for seamless, all-in-one hospitality solutions across Europe.”

“In our acquisition strategy, both in Italy and abroad, we focus on companies that already have a consolidated business and on technologically advanced solutions that can be integrated with other components of our offering,” explained Angelo Guaragni, Managing Director of Zucchetti Hospitality. “Zadego, with the thirteen years of experience of its people and the quality of the Easybooking software, met these requirements exactly. We are therefore convinced that this transaction will allow Zucchetti to expand its penetration in the hospitality market in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.”

Zucchetti was supported on the deal by the Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner law firm, and by BDO Corporate Finance GmbH and BDO Austria GmbH.
