Vesuvius Moves Into Edison Building in Krakow

Vesuvius, a global provider of engineering services and solutions for the steel and foundry industries, has moved into the Edison building — one of four A-class office buildings developed and managed by GTC within the Korona complex in Krakow.

Vesuvius designs, manufactures, and supplies high-performance ceramics, refractory materials, and metal-flow control systems to its customers worldwide. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Vesuvius operates in over 40 countries and employs more than 11,000 people globally.

In Poland, Vesuvius has had a manufacturing plant in Skawina, near Krakow, for over 25 years. The company’s new office in the Korona complex will support its Business-Services operations and provide workspace that fosters collaboration and excellence. It will also further strengthen service delivery to clients across the European market.

“We’re very excited about the new location and partnership with GTC, especially taking into account the experience of our business needs being recognized and treated as the utmost priority,” said Aleksandra Klecha, Vesuvius Business Services HR Director and Board Member. “Moving to the Korona complex offers an upgrade in experience to our employees and to the visitors with our Business Services being one of the collaboration hubs for Vesuvius.”

Vesuvius’s office occupies the 5th and 6th floors of the Edison building. The Korona complex is one of Kraków’s largest business hubs, and is home to numerous companies from the IT, gaming, and engineering sectors. Korona holds a BREEAM “Excellent” certification for sustainable construction, along with the “Building Without Barriers” designation, confirming its accessibility for a wide range of users.

“We are delighted to welcome Vesuvius to the Korona community,” said Agnieszka Kuehn, Senior Leasing Manager at GTC. “The complex meets their high standards for office quality and comfort, while also aligning with their values of sustainability. We are confident that this environment will support the company’s future growth and that its employees will become an integral part of the Korona technology community.”

Vesuvius was represented in the lease transaction by advisors from Colliers.
