Paval Holding and Apex Alliance Management Take Over Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort in Switzerland

The owners of the 150-year old 5-star Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort in the Swiss town of Flims have announced plans to reopen the hotel upon completion of ongoing renovations.

Romania’s Paval Holding and Lithuania’s Apex Alliance Hotel Management took over the resort in the fall of 2024 from US investment company Z Capital Partners and launched a renovation process with the aim of reopening the hotel in the winter. Z Capital Partners had purchased it in December 2015. The resort was closed in the summer of 2023 due to financial challenges, primarily linked to rising energy costs.

This acquisition marks the second investment for Paval Holding, following its 2023 purchase of the Grand Hotel Gardone in Italy. Apex Alliance now has 17 hotels across Europe, including five in Bucharest.
