Panattoni and Accolade Join Forces to Build New Distribution Center in the Czech Republic

On October 19, 2021, industrial zone builder Panattoni and industrial infrastructure investor Accolade Group announced that they have joined forces to build a new distribution center in the Czech Republic.

According to the companies, the project has been commissioned by the KION Group and represents an expansion of its smart factory complex in Panattoni Park Stribro. The new building will have a surface of 9,500 square meters and will be used to dispatch handling equipment from the production plants near Stribro and also as a logistics hub for products from other plants producing for CEE. The investment amounts to approximately EUR 9.6 million and will create more than 30 new jobs.

“The expansion of Kion Group at Panattoni Park Stribro clearly confirms that companies need to have not only the development and production but also the logistics of their materials and finished products as close as possible to them,” said Panattoni Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia Pavel Sovicka. “This minimizes the environmental impact by eliminating the CO2 footprint during transport.”

“The expansion of the complex of smart factories near Stribro proves that we are no longer an assembly plant of Europe for major players in the global industry,” added CEO of Accolade Group Milan Kratina. “On the contrary, they perceive us as an equal partner, who will support them in the realization of their visions and implementation of innovative solutions, and a partner on whom they can rely in the long term.”
