Mediaposte Hit Mail has leased 19,000 square meters of space – including warehousing and office area – in Chitila Logistics Hub, the industrial park developed by Global Vision and Globalworth.
Mediaposte Hit Mail is the largest direct marketing company in Romania. It provides marketing, logistics, and IT solutions. Its fulfill.ro manages the entire logistics of an e-commerce store: receiving and storing goods, collection, returns management, and labelling. Founded in 1997, Mediaposte Hit Mail became part of the French group La Poste (French Post Office) in 2009. With a significant presence on the Romanian and Bulgarian market, the group formed by Mediaposte Hit Mail and its subsidiaries has more than 500 employees and a turnover of 57.9 million euros in 2022.
According to Global Vision, “the company chose Chitila Logistics Hub due to its state-of-the-art features and strategic location. The park has 75,000 square meters of storage and dedicated production spaces, with ambient or controlled temperature, office areas, and exterior platforms.”
“The constant development of our logistics business lines, and in particular our fulfill.ro product for e-commerce stores of all sizes, has meant that our warehouses have been ‘getting smaller’ every 5 years,” commented Mediaposte Hit Mail Managing Director Marian Seitan. “We have grown from 1,500 to 4,500 to 10,000 square meters, and now we are moving to a 19,000-square-meter warehouse, which also offers us possibilities for expansion. Interestingly, the main factor driving the increase in demand for fulfill.ro is not, as one might think, the growth of e-commerce in Romania, but the increase in the percentage of online stores that decide to outsource their entire logistics to a specialized supplier-partner. This supplier-partner is taking on the increasingly difficult problems of managing human resources for logistics operations, as well as those related to authorisations and compliance. Equally important for the customer, it is able to scale up in real time when e-commerce store demand increases, and reduce store logistics costs proportionately when demand decreases.”
The transaction was facilitated by Colliers, as the agency is a partner in several transactions for the industrial park developed by Global Vision and Globalworth.
