J&T Real Estate Receives Usage Permit for Bratislava’s Tallest Residential Building

On January 17, 2022, developer J&T Real Estate announced that it successfully completed the almost three-year construction of Bratislava’s tallest residential building, Klingerka, and had been issued a usage permit.

Klingerka is 116 meters tall and built in a former jute factory area. It has 36 floors and 380 two and four-bedroom apartments. According to the company, the project includes a multifunctional park the size of half a football pitch.

Its size meant a rather specific construction process. “Colleagues often had to develop and fine-tune completely new products with suppliers,” explained JTRE project manager Peter Medla. “After thorough testing, these prototypes were used for the very first time on the tallest residential building in Slovakia.”

“After project completion, Klingerka will comprise a natural transition between the emerging modern city center and the quiet historic Klinger area abundant greenery, handy services, leisure opportunities,” added JTRE executive director Pavel Pelikan. “It is crucial that Klingerka also delivers a welcome mix of functions for the city center’s social functioning.”
