Jan Hotels Acquires Pentahotel Prague

The Jan Hotels group has acquired the Pentahotel Prague in the lively Karlin district of the Czech capital.

According to Jan Hotels, “the Pentahotel Prague is now set for rebranding and will gradually be transformed into HOTEL PULSE8 – a fresh urban concept designed for today’s modern travelers.”

“Our strategy is clear: grow smart, stay profitable, and deliver unique experiences to distinct target groups,” said Gabriela Zmeková, Director of Business Development at Jan Hotels. “PULSE8 — with 227 rooms and six meeting rooms — is aimed at creative travelers and guests who seek informal, stylish city stays. Karlin is Prague’s most dynamic neighborhood – and PULSE8 will reflect that energy.”

The future PULSE8 will be Jan Hotels’ sixth hotel in the Czech Republic.

“This marks another exciting milestone,” added Jan Hotels Group CEO Eytan Goldman. “Following the successful acquisition of Hotel BOOKQUET (previously Hotel Leonardo) in 2018 and Hotel Carol in 2020, PULSE8 will definitely both broaden and strengthen our Prague offering. Our ambition is to be able to present additional hotel concepts, adding even more diversity to our portfolio, in a not-too-distant future.”

Acquisition financing was provided by UniCredit Bank.
