Invesco Goes Green with Polenergia Sprzedaz

Invesco Real Estate has entered into four corporate power purchase agreements with Polenergia Sprzedaz for the supply of green energy with guarantees of origin to commercial properties situated in Warsaw, Krakow, and Poznan.

The Greenberg Traurig law firm advised Invesco on the deal. According to Greenberg Traurig, consulting firm Colliers also supported the company “in developing a tailored strategy for contracting the appropriate energy capacity in line with consumption profiles, assessing business risks and validating energy pricing, taking into account negative pricing scenarios and compulsory curtailments of generation.”

The properties include the Plac Unii office and retail complex and the Q22 office building in Warsaw, the Galeria Kazimierz shopping center in Krakow, and the P2 office building in Poznan, all of which are owned by Invesco Real Estate. Energy for the four properties is supplied by Polenergia’s wind farms, ensuring direct supply of energy from specific renewable energy sources.

Invesco Real Estate also signed supplementary agreements for the supply of energy and provision of balancing services.
