European Green Logistics Space Plans Logistics Development Outside Ostrava

European Green Logistics Space is planning a logistics development of up to 74,000 square meters near Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

The development will be built on a 14-hectare site in Velke Albrechtice, about 25 kilometers west of Ostrava. The facility could provide up to 69,000 square meters of warehouse space and 4,600 square meters of office space. Construction of the facility is expected to take 12-15 months.

The Ostrava development is the first to be secured by EGLS since its launch with the backing of Kamco Invest, one of the largest asset managers in the Middle East and North Africa region, which acquired a significant stake in EGLS in line with its expansion strategy.

“This prime site in Ostrava is an exciting first development opportunity for EGLS,” said Dominika Surovcova, EGLS Managing Director of Czechia and Slovakia. “We are transforming a former brownfield site into a highly sustainable logistics facility, revitalizing the land while minimizing environmental impact. Strategically located at the borders of Poland and Slovakia, the project addresses the demand for large industrial units in the region and contributes to the local economy. By creating new job opportunities and supporting nearby communities, we are committed to responsible development that benefits both businesses and residents in the region.Occupier demand for industrial space in Czechia is increasing every year due to its strategic location in Central Europe, industrial growth, infrastructure and skilled workforce.”

EGLS has announced that it will invest in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Italy.
