MR.DIY Expansion at Hillwood Zgierz Park

Malaysian home-improvement-retail-giant MR.DIY, which made its debut in the Polish market in 2024 by opening its first Central and Eastern European logistics center at Hillwood Zgierz I, has further expanded its space at that complex by leasing nearly 15,000 square meters.

The announcement follows MR.DIY’s expansion earlier this year when it leased 7,106 square meters in addition to the 5,000-square-meter lease from 2024 (as reported by CEE Real Estate Matters on February 28, 2025).

“MR.DIY is successfully building its position in the non-food discount segment, as evidenced by its further expansion in the Hillwood Zgierz park and the decision to lease an additional 15,000 square meters of space in this location,” commented MR.DIY Poland Country Head Lukasz Dobrowolski.  “We are delighted that Poland will play such an important role in the development of the MR.DIY brand in Europe. I am convinced that thanks to the commitment of the Polish team and our business partners, MR.DIY’s expansion in the European market will proceed smoothly and allow us to consistently implement our strategy of providing customers with a wide range of products at attractive prices.”

“We are extremely pleased to see MR.DIY not only rapidly developing its retail network in Poland, but also consistently expanding its logistics center right here at Hillwood Zgierz Park,” added Hillwood Polska Business Development Director Wojciech Dachniewski. “The fact that, following the first successful stage of investment, the company decided on another significant expansion of nearly 15,000 square meters demonstrates trust in our location and the flexibility of our solutions. Thanks to its excellent connection to the A2 motorway and its strong position in central Poland, Hillwood Zgierz is becoming a key logistics hub for the MR.DIY network, which focuses on efficiency and fast growth in the European market.”
