VGP Welcomes New Tenant Dachser in Ceske Budejovice

On October 20, 2021, VGP announced that international logistics provider Dachser Czech Republic had signed a contract for a built-to-suit development in Ceske Budejovice.

According to the company, the new logistics and office spaces with a total area of nearly 7,000 square meters will be built in the newly emerging industrial park in the Svetlik commercial zone on the outskirts of the city. The premises are scheduled for occupation in March 2022. Dachser focuses on serving customers from South Bohemia. The new building will include 2,000 square meters of transshipment and more than 4,300 square meters of warehouse space with a capacity of approximately 7,000 pallet spaces. Part of the warehouse will be specially adapted for the short-term storage of hazardous goods.

“Due to its excellent accessibility to the city center and proximity to the German and Austrian borders, the new VGP site is ideal for a logistics center,” said VGP Country Manager for the Czech Republic David Plzak. “We are very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with such a prestigious tenant as Dachser, for whom we will execute new built-to-suit premises. At the same time, we are glad that our decision to build A-class industrial real estate in Ceske Budejovice has been confirmed, since there was practically no industrial real estate in this part of the Czech Republic before we moved here.”
