The Waszyngton x Soho food concept has opened in Warsaw’s SOHO 16 building that is part of the mixed-use SOHO by Yareal project.
With interiors designed by the Sojka & Wojciechowski architectural studio, Waszyngton x Soho is an offshoot of the Waszyngton_W96 concept. According to Yareal, “it has been designed as a continuation of the vision of a neighborhood bistro that combines a specialty coffee shop with an all-day breakfast spot. The offer draws inspiration from the classic menu of its predecessor, staying true to the best of American and French culinary traditions.”
At Waszyngton x Soho, which is located at 16 Zupnicza Street in Warsaw, guests can enjoy dishes crafted by chefs Tomek Zielke and Kuba Scichocki. The menu features well-known favorites such as the Dutch Baby and Croque Madame, alongside new additions like a reinterpretation of the English breakfast served as a terrine, and a fresh take on the Eggslut, made with homemade pork sausage and horseradish. Matcha, which is offered in a variety of creative forms, also plays a prominent role on the menu. The dessert selection is curated by Zona Krawca Pracownia and its pastry chefs Monika Gontarczyk and Cezary Mscichowski.
“We have opened the premises in our favorite Kamionek area with unreserved joy and satisfaction, thus becoming part of the vibrant Soho by Yareal space,” said Konrad Kacperczyk, co-owner of Waszyngton x Soho. “Our mission is to please our guests by captivating their taste buds every day and creating a comfortable, easy-going environment, perfect for gatherings. Combining classic dishes with a modern approach is part of our DNA. We have always emphasized the importance of the local community and neighbors, while building lasting and exceptional relationships has always been at the core of our philosophy. In Waszyngton x Soho, we continuously care about the quality of ingredients, their taste, the visual appeal of the food. We are committed to making all things delicious, welcoming, and simply enjoyable.”
“We are happy that new, unique premises have enriched the SOHO by Yareal concept, commented Jacek Zengteler, CEO at Yareal Polska. “Our new spot stands out not only thanks to its diverse menu, but also exceptional architecture. What truly sets our concept apart are areas dedicated to social interactions, focusing on integration and building a sense of community. It is our primary goal to make SOHO by Yareal a vibrant place, open to both residents of the neighboring buildings and all Warsaw-dwellers as well as their guests. The opening of Waszyngton x Soho marks another significant step in building and fostering greater interest in the commercial and service portfolio of SOHO by Yareal. The entire concept of the venue – the menu idea, the stunning interior design, and the creators’ approach – perfectly aligns with the vision of this unique place.”
SOHO by Yareal was designed in accordance with the idea of a “15-Minute City.” The center, which is located in Warsaw’s Kamionek area, features residential premises, leisure areas, and a number of service outlets, including a large space for restaurants, bars, and cafés. It was awarded a BREEAM Communities certificate and incorporates soon-to-be-renovated post-industrial buildings into the present-day development, resulting in what Yareal describes as “an open, vibrant space that will harmoniously blend with the existing architectural style of the Praga district.”
At present, apart from Waszyngton x Soho, SOHO by Yareal offers a nursery and a playroom for kids, and the first-in-Warsaw compact Carrefour store covering 300 square meters. A florist will soon join the roster as well. Other premises to be made available in the near future include a bakery and an architectural studio. In May 2026, a Green Caffe Nero café will open in the complex, and a food hub will open in the second half of 2026 in the historic building B.56, which stands out because of its distinctive brick chimney.
Currently, the SOHO by Yareal site is undergoing renovation of the B.56 building, and the final residential phase, which includes two buildings with upscale apartments and the high-end NEFRYT apartment building, is under construction and is expected to be handed over to residents at the end of 2025, marking the completion of the residential part of the complex.
