Malaysian home-improvement-retail-giant MR.DIY, which made its debut in the Polish market last year by opening its first Central and Eastern European logistics center at Hillwood Zgierz I, has expanded its space at that complex by leasing the last available space.
MR.DIY currently operates in 13 countries and has over 4,500 stores in Asia and Europe. The company’s product range includes over 20,000 items such as household and hardware supplies, home-improvement essentials, stationery, and toys. So far, MR.DIY has opened three stores in Poland and is currently preparing to open new locations.
Last year, MR.DIY launched a 5,000-square-meter logistics center at Hillwood Zgierz I. This year, in response to its growing operational needs, the company expanded its facility by an additional 7,106 square meters of warehouse and office space. As a result, Hillwood Zgierz I is now fully leased, with available spaces remaining only at Hillwood Zgierz II.
“We are proud to have supported MR.DIY’s successful entry into Central and Eastern Europe by providing modern warehouse and office space,” said Wojciech Dachniewski, Business Development Director at Hillwood Polska. “The decision to expand within our Hillwood Zgierz I park confirms that strong partnerships, responsiveness to tenants’ needs, and a shared commitment to business growth bring tangible results. We appreciate MR.DIY’s trust in our facilities, and we are confident that the additional warehouse space will contribute to achieving its business goals in the CEE region.”
“A successful market debut and continued business growth require reliable partners,” said Magdalena Nazarewicz, Business Development Director at MR.DIY Poland. “From the very beginning, our cooperation with Hillwood Polska has been excellent. We are very pleased with our choice of Hillwood Zgierz I logistics park, and our decision to expand within this strategically located complex is the best proof of that. The new space will allow us to operate even more efficiently. We believe that our long-term partnership with Hillwood Polska will further strengthen our position in the Central and Eastern European market.”
