Romania’s Concelex construction company is celebrating the recent grand opening of Berceni Arena, a state-of-the-art ice rink the company built in the Aparatorii Patriei area of Bucharest.
According to Concelex, “as the first ice sports facility constructed in the city in the past 70 years, Berceni Arena represents a significant milestone in the revival of ice sports in the capital.” The arena seats 800 people, and is equipped with advanced temperature control technology, “ensuring that while the ice is kept at -5 degrees Celsius, spectators can enjoy a comfortable 15 degrees.”
The facility covers 6,500 square meters, with over 1,700 square meters dedicated to the ice surface. The building also includes amenities such as service areas, cloakrooms, offices, locker rooms, training rooms, VIP suites, and press booths. The surrounding area features 3,000 square meters of green space, including 70 newly planted trees.
