Panattoni has announced that it will begin construction of a new park in the Silesian Voivodeship – Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V – this month.
The project, which will be located 16 km from the center of Katowice and 19 kilometers from Katowice Airport (and only 84 kilometers to Poland’s border with the Czech Republic), will ultimately include two buildings covering over 52,000 square meters. The first tenant at Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V will be the Hebe drugstore chain, for whom a build-to-suit distribution center will be developed as part of the facility.
Construction on the first hall, covering over 33,000 square meters, will begin in December, with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. In the future, a second building will be constructed, spanning nearly 19,000 square meters.
Hebe, which is part of the Jeronimo Martins Group, has leased 22,000 square meters at Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V for a period of ten years. The Hebe distribution center will feature a technologically advanced pick-tower mezzanine, internal transport systems enhancing productivity and work ergonomics, as well as comfortable social facilities.
“Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V represents another step in our growth strategy for Silesia, a region that attracts huge interest from the key players in the market,” said Panattoni Partner Marek Dobrzycki. “We are extremely pleased that Hebe has chosen our location for its distribution center, a choice that will lead to this brand’s further expansion in Poland. The space is to be tailored to Hebe’s specifications and will include a range of special solutions to improve its logistics processes.”
