GTC is reporting that it signed lease agreements for nearly 26,000 square meters of office and retail space in the first quarter of this year, which it describes as more than one-third better than in the same period last year.
Between January and March 2025, GTC concluded leasing deals covering almost 19,000 square meters of office space and close to 7,000 square meters of retail space across the CEE region.
Among GTC’s largest office transactions in the first three months of this year were lease renewals for over 4,800 square meters at Advance Business Center in Sofia and 3,000 square meters at the Francuska Office Centre in Katowice, as well as the acquisition of new tenants at the Korona Office Complex in Krakow (2,200 square meters), Matrix D in Zagreb (1,700 square meters), and Vaci Greens in Budapest (1,300 square meters). Tenants leasing space in GTC buildings include companies in the financial, engineering, industrial, and aviation sectors.
“The office markets in which we operate remain stable, and our efforts are firmly focused on continually increasing occupancy. Our buildings are highly attractive workplaces – centrally located, carefully managed, and tailored to meet the needs of today’s professionals,” explained Gyula Nagy, President of GTC’s Management Board. “At the same time, we are executing well-defined leasing strategies that enhance the appeal of our retail and entertainment destinations. After signing leases for nearly 160,000 square meters of commercial space in 2024, we continue to see the strength of our long-term tenant relationships and the market’s recognition of GTC as a reliable and responsible partner reflected in the contracts secured in the first quarter of this year.”
In the retail segment, Avenue Mall in Zagreb agreed on a relocation for regional retailer Sport Vision, signed lease agreements for a new restaurant and playground area (Koykan and Levelup), and signed extensions for existing tenants HomeDeco and Home&Cook. Altogether, 1,144 square meters of retail space was leased in the center. In Galeria Polnocna in Warsaw, new and renewed leases totaled 2,391 square meters, including agreements with Martes Sport for nearly 1,200 square meters, Home & You for more than 400 square meters, and the Fikolki children’s play area for over 780 square meters. Among other agreements, Diverse fashion retailer extended lease for more than 350 square meters in Galeria Jurajska in Czestochowa.
