WING’s dual-branded ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium hotel project, part of the city’s Liberty complex, has received a special award from the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association at the 26th real estate event organized by the Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation.
Winners of the 26th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition, selected by a jury of Hungarian and foreign experts, were announced at the November 21 gala event held in Budapest’s Museum of Ethnography.
The Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) hosted the 26th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition. According to WING, “the main objective of FIABCI, the Paris-based International Real Estate Federation, is to develop the profession both in theory and practice, to showcase real estate development achievements internationally and to provide business contacts for real estate development professionals.”
FIABCI Hungary first organized the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition in 1997 to recognize the achievements of Hungarian real estate developers, to promote the developments to both Hungarian professional audiences and the wider public, and to endorse participation in the FIABCI World Prix d`Excellence international real estate development competition.
The ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium hotel, located in the Liberty complex and developed by WING, won the special prize for the best hotel of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, one of the professional organizations sponsoring the competition. The hotel is the first new dual-branded hotel in Hungary and the first TRIBE hotel both in Hungary and the wider region.
The dual-branded ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium hotel occupies the top floor of the Konyves Kalman korut wing of the Liberty building complex, which itself features 3–4 star rooms and commercial units, as well as class A+ office spaces. The hotel boasts 332 rooms shared equally between the two brands. The facilities of the complex include an all-day a la carte restaurant, a fitness gym, and an underground car park. The conference center can accommodate up to 180 guests and features five multifunctional event rooms. The rooftop Cloud IX Skybar, located on the ninth floor of the Liberty building, can seat up to 120 people.
“It is a great honor for us that the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association has awarded the special prize to the project implemented in the development of WING, one of the most advanced and ESG-compliant complexes in the country,” said Dr. Erno Takacs, Deputy CEO of WING, responsible for the office and hotel portfolio and President of the Real Estate Developers Round Table Association. “As one of the leading real estate companies in Hungary and the region, we are committed to projects that create long-term value and represent high architectural quality.”
