On November 16, 2021, Accolade announced that Panattoni had successfully revitalized for them the former Kavalier glassworks site in Hostomice in the Czech Republic into an industrial park, an investment of EUR 500 million.
The first tenant of the new industrial zone, named Panattoni Park Teplice South, is the Czech sanitary equipment retailer Sanitino. It has started operating a distribution center, which will gradually serve the whole of Europe. The area was a brownfield site with over a century of glass manufacturing history.
“This project shows why we place such an emphasis on brownfield revitalization,” commented Accolade Group CEO Milan Kratina. “The former glassworks site offers suitable conditions for companies in the field of light manufacturing, logistics, and e-commerce, which will help stimulate the regional economy in the Usti nad Labem region. The Park is located at the exit of the I/13 road, connecting the Usti nad Labem region with the Liberec and Karlovy Vary regions, but also close to the D8 motorway leading to Germany. This gives companies the flexibility to distribute goods throughout Europe. In addition, the renovation of the site has succeeded in removing old environmental burdens.”
