On October 12, 2021, VGP announced that it had appointed Markus Gollob as its new Country Manager Austria.
According to VGP, Gollob took over the role on October 1, 2021, and will be responsible to further develop the company’s business activities in Austria, including the expansion of its domestic portfolio of buildable land.
Gollob has more than 15 years of experience in real estate development and management according to the company. He began his career in 2003 as a district manager at Lidl Austria GmbH, after which he worked as Head of Real Estate & Lease Management at Merkur Warenhandels and Head of Real Estate & Expansion Austria South and East at Rewe International.
“VGP is on a sharp growth trajectory and I am very excited to support the company’s expansion in Austria,” commented Gollob. “After working on the sales side, the position of Country Manager Austria at VGP is a new and very exciting challenge for me.”
