On September 15, 2021, Panattoni announced that it is preparing a new warehouse for Doosan Bobcat in Zidice, Czech Republic.
Doosan Bobcat will occupy a surface of 13,541 square meters that will also include offices and an option for another 5,000 square meters. According to Panattoni, the tenant will use the space to receive, inspect, sort, store, and prepare materials and components to supply its production lines in nearby Dobris, where the company also has a production plant and an innovation and training center. Operations are set to start next year.
“In recent years, we have been systematically improving the quality of operation and increasing production capacity,” said Doosan Bobcat Communication Manager EMEA David Frodl. “Consolidation of all external warehouses into one location with the expansion of the capacity of storage space using modern technologies is another logical step for the development of our business. The Panattoni project in Zdice has a very strategic position for our production – it has a direct connection both to the D5 motorway and to our infrastructure in Dobris.”
“The hall in Zdice will mainly help the tenant to streamline operations, because it will replace several existing warehouses in various locations,” added Panattoni’s Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia Pavel Sovicka. “However, I would like to point out the environmental aspect of the project. According to our estimates, the concentration of logistics under one roof will help save thousands of liters of diesel per month, which means hundreds of kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions. The hall will also meet the strict requirements of BREEAM environmental certification according to the latest standards. I am very pleased that this project also fully corresponds to our long-term strategy of sustainable development.”
